Georg Birner studied with Prof. Malte Burba from 1993 bis 1997 in Mainz as a "Jungstudent".

After the Abitur at the Max-Reger-Gymnasium in 1997 he continued his studies with him and graduated in 2001 as "Diplom-Instrumentalpädagoge".

 

Georg has played the musicals „Tanz der Vampire“ and „42nd Street“ in the Apollo Theatre Stuttgart.  He also played with the Stadttheater Pforzheim and the Münchner Rundfunkorchester.

From 2008 until 2011 he was a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra Regensburg.  He regularly participates in radio and CD productions.  As a freelance musician and trumpeter, he plays many concerts with the Trumpet Ensemble Zephir and "Philharmenka - Die Nürnberger Böhmische".
